Not sure about the orange wire either, it does indicate that it might be an activation line for a multichanger i.e. like car stereo's amp activation lines.
The blue wire will switch the monitor to your reverse video input when grounded (0v) and switch back to the last input when not. So to use it you need to check which wire on your reverse lights will go to ground when the reverse gear is engaged and wire it in paralell with it.
