K301 Reverse cam wire

There is a blue wire on my K301 for triggering reverse video input. Does anyone know how to use this? Should it just be pulled to +12v DC or maybe ground in order to switch to the reverse cam input? Can it be used to switch back to previous input again?

Also, there's an orange wire labeled 'remote' - how can that be used? The manuel isn't clear on what it is for (not even proper english), but I think it's for a DVD changer, but I'd like to be sure.

Not sure about the orange wire either, it does indicate that it might be an activation line for a multichanger i.e. like car stereo's amp activation lines.

The blue wire will switch the monitor to your reverse video input when grounded (0v) and switch back to the last input when not. So to use it you need to check which wire on your reverse lights will go to ground when the reverse gear is engaged and wire it in paralell with it.

Hope this helps.

Unhappy

One more thing I discovered is the screen will only switch to reverse camera input when originally viewing the AV channels. i.e. If in VGA mode no switch to reverse mode.

Can anyone else with a K301 confirm this please.

Is the remote wire not just for switching an amp or power aerial on?
