MTSVO-SC- Auto open?
Ive been researching the motorized displays (bought a 12" for the dash, and failed... into the trunk it goes), and I like the simple style of the MTSVO-SC the most.
Does anyone know if one of those wires on the back of these things causes it to auto-open from a controller or acc wire? I searched around mp3car/mp3car store/digitalww and I couldn't see the feature anywhere (though i'd imagine its a simple feature to have... I could just solder some wires to the button, but i'd rather it just came like that...)
Thanks

One of its features is that it will remember the last position of the monitor. So if it was open when you turned off your car, it will auto open the next time you start your car.

I don't want to put a solid date on the release but as soon as they will start shipping them out, I will have them.

They seem to be taking their time to filter out these ones.. could this be a good sign of making sure they are right or a bad sign that there is production problems...
Dont spose you know what the screen is Armen ?

The sample I have seems very solid so I am not sure what the delay could be.
I haven't taken it appart yet so I don't know. I will soon though...

I got mine today. I will test it tomorrow. The manual is very basic and is actually useless.
On the back you find the following wires:
GND
12+
Accon
Park
Reverse
Remote
I wonder what the reverse and park do.
There are also AV1, AV2 and a reverse video input available.

You should connect 'park' to the handbrake, so that the screen can only be used when the handbrake is on. But, if you want the screen to work nomatter the state of the handbrake, connect 'park' to ground (i.e. to the same place as you connect the black wire) - note that this might be illegal where you live
The 'reverse' wire is supposed to be connected to the reverse gear, in order to change the active input to the reverse signal - note that you cannot change to the reverse signal manually (using the 'src' button it only changes through VGA->AV1->AV2 and back again). I'm still trying to figure out just what it expects the reverse wire to be connected to, in order to be activated.
Oh, and I actually have no idea on what the remote wire does. The manual isn't at all clear on that one.

I guess the remote is used to give external devices a power signal to operate (amplifier for example). Most HU also have a remote for this kind of purpose so that must be it.

Yes, I though about that - but what I can get from the manual is, that it is supposed to be connected to a DVD changer. So I guess it's for giving a signal TO the screen when a DVD is played, so the screen changes to AV1 or AV2 - much like the reverse-wire. No sure though, will have to test both ideas.

For those wondering 'when it will become available'
I ordered mine from the Mp3Car store on June 8th (it was only $500 then instead of $550 ). I received a UPS tracking number today... so apparently they have started to ship.
I'll be posting my thoughts and feelings as soon as I get it hooked up in my worklog

I also have the screen in my hands - agreed regarding the manual being useless.
Can you feed a wire from the reverse light to the 'Reverse' feed from the screen to toggle the reverse signal on/off? I'm also wondering what else it could be referring to...

remote is to give other hardware a 12v signal, I guess.
the accon is important because this is to turn on the screen. Connect it to the ignition o to your psu (12v). When the accon receives a 12v signal the screen will start.
