Post What do yu think of this touch screen?

http://www.datalux.com/monitors/lmv10.asp

If I could get this for a good deal, would you guys recommend it?
It is not TFT, it's active matrix, I really have no idea what the difference is.
So what do you think?
Any experience with this model, it would be the LMV10R2—Resistive Touchscreen, 200 nits

Thanks

well, it all depends on how much you want to spend and what your planned uses are.

For example, I have a 10.4" touchscreen that I paid $300 for a while ago (but I bought it on ebay, and new ones cost anywhere from $800-$2000) and it fits perfectly in my truck. It is a little dimmer than that one (only 120 nits I think) but I got a great deal.

My friend who has the same truck as me is buying a 12.5" touchscreen from earthLCD.com for $649. This is an 80 nit screen i think, and he is going to have to mount it in a different place, like on the floor in a console.

of course, if you've got something like a honda or a ford escort, you are not going to be able to mount a 12" screen anywhere.

6.5" screens from earth are around $800 (i cant check prices right now because their website is down), but those screens would be good for smaller cars.

Scratch this idea. This is what I was looking at:
http://cgi.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI...tem=1302857171

Notice the guy is in San Jose, like 15 minutes from me. I e-mailed him and setup a time to actually go and see the moniter. He was a little resistant but in the end he agreed. Long story short, the moniter is intermitent. You hold it one way it works, move it a little, it doesn't work. Interesting it doesn't say anything about it being intermitent in the description...

Anyway, the moniter is very bulky for a 10.4 but has a nice image. If anyone is interested in these there are like four more on e-bay two of which are new.
