Xenarc touchscreen issue

I've searched through tons of threads and have not found a solution. I have been experiencing an issue with my Xenarc 700tsv, where the touchscreen screen function seems to stop working after random intervals of time. sometimes it will shut off after 10 min, others 45min etc. if i turn the monitor off then back on again, the touchscreen will work until it turns off again. It is very annoying. I have tried to check all the connections and everything seems to be secure.

Is this possibly an overheating issue? has anybody experienced this. someone please help!!!

I have modified the case so i believe the warranty is shot. Thanks

ok I'll start it..
have you checked/replaced the usb cable coming from the touchscreen controller?
Have you removed/reinstalled the touchscreen drivers?
Are you using a USB hub? If so, remove it from the setup and test touchscreen, does it work now?
Is the casing to your touchscreen touching the screen? Any trash inbetween the glass and housing?

Overheating? Try putting a fan on it?

Thanks,

I am using Xenarc Touchscreen and I-Bus as well.

I had similar problems untill last weekend. Sometimes I lost my touchscreen during driving in 10 minutes, sometimes in 50 minutes but fact was fact - something did not work right in my system.

Is your I-Bus interface conneted thru hub ? Is your Xenarc touchscreen connected thru hub ?

In my case everything (I-Bus and Xenarc + another Com to USB adapter (for OBD) were connected thru one hub. All what I did was: For xenarc touchscreen I put one extra USB extension directly to motherboard. For my I-Bus I just swithced it to COM port instead of using thru USB (but I am sure the problem was with this USB Hub).
Some one tol me that it is very bad idea to connect Xenarc Touchscreen and what ever else (what use COM port) in the same HUB and the guy was right. Now my touchscreen works just fine as well as I-Bus.

Hope it will help. If not than I will sugest you to check/reinstall drivers for touchscreen and also to check your connections.

Goodluck

The IBUS is connected directly to the pc, no hubs or extensions, regarding xenarc touchscreen, i use an usb extension. 3 days ago i formated my system and reinstalled windows, ibus is working great now but same problems with touchscreen.
Today i will try to reinstall touchscreen drivers.
If you have more solutions for me please post them.
