Cable is ok I think. I wiggled it around, no change. There are no pins, just contacts. The pins are on the PC side, not lilliput. Maybe I should ask them to just send me another cable. I waited over a month for this product, and they couldn't even do basic quality control on the finished product? Not very good business practice if you ask me.

I installed mine today. I also can not get a VGA signal. I'll spend some more time on it tomorrow night. I havent installed any of the drivers, so that might be the problem.

Same problem as me? I cannot get a VGA signal no matter what I do. Not in the BIOS post screen, or windows booting, or windows itself.

The drivers are only for the touch panel. I don't see how they can affect the display itself. You should be able to see the boot screen. I cannot.

"Does it beep twice? I had this problem when I first started it up. I gently pushed the screen up when it was fully extended, and the screen unfolded. It is now opening and closing ok"

Mine only beeps once but it doesn't seem to want to extend from any position.

Finally got a reply from ex-audio. I have now asked about an exchange for a different item as after 2 unsuccesful attempts by lilliput to fix it before shipping I really don't trust them to repair it.

Hello

I'm not sure if we can issue a refund. The unit should be examined by the technicians first.

1) Please send the product back to us by airmail (I suggest you to use the cheapest way to do) and we will examine it and arrange a replacement. (Please send the unit with original packing) We will send the unit back to the manufacturer.

(The manufacturer is located in Mainland China, we have to send the item and wait for them to return the replacement therefore the process may take a few days)

2) Send the damaged/faulty product (mark as warranty repair) to the following
address:
.....

Note: If you had paid tax for this item before please ready the invoice of customs tax or other import documentations so in case the replacement is stopped by the customs, you can fax them and prove that it is a replacement.

I had the same problem when I tried my Xenarc screen, I connected it back up in the house then uninstalled the graphic card and monitor in Sys devices, then turn it off don’t let it reboot. I then connected it back up in the car and it worked. I have since reinstalled the graphics drivers and its fine.

Might be worth a try with the Lilliput.

Yeah, but you should at least be able to see the BIOS screen. I get nothing.

Just to set the record straight we have been told by several reliable sources NOT to stock this product. Let the buyer beware. If the luck changes on the lilliputs please let me know and we will look more into stocking this.

Don't let this one product make you think lilliput is junk. Their engineering has improved dramaticly in the past few months and they now lead the industry in design quality but definitely not on this product.

If you are looking for a high quality in dash unit I would get the mstvo-sc. It doesn’t have an amp or a tuner but at least you know you are getting top motor and screen quality. The Mp3car.com store also provide a no dead pixel guarantee on it.

It seems like your sources are correct, for now at least.

I'm not sure if the "NO VGA SIGNAL" problem I'm having, is a problem with the VGA cable, or the connector on the lilliput unit itself. I emailed ex-audio to ask if they could send me another cable to try out.

Another VERY reliable source told me that Ex-audio is selling OLD (motor problem screens on Ebay). I also know that Lilliput is not very happy about this since it is very bad for their reputation. I dont think that, that meeting will be a very happy discussion. Moreover, I have been told that the new batch of screens is runnning flawless, however I think that ex-audio ruined every trust I had to Lilliput, but I will have to see for myself. I will try to aquire a screen directly from them and test it out! If everything works OK I will probably buy more from them since I need them for a project. I still think that this is the BEST screen since it provides SO much more than all the other screens together!

How can they be selling old motorized lilliput screens though? This is a brand new product isn't it?

Read through the thread......there were some units with faulty motors.....They changed the motors now but I guess the old ones still exist!

I emailed lilliput on all except the russian email address on the 23rd but I have not yet recieved a reply, the only reply I did get was from lilliputuk but they just said they only deal with screens which they supply, although this is listed in their catalogue.
I think another email highlighting how damaging this product can be for them would definately add weight to our refund/replacement claime. We could also link this thread, if they see how many people have read about how poor the product is that may sway them!
