I just recieved the following:

Hi,

Our director has already gone to Lilliput's factory for this product.
Please believe us the product's problem will be settled down later.
At this moment please ship it back.
We will send you a new replacement then.
Thank you.

An update from Lilliput:

Thank you for your email. You can require full refund if you are not satified with Lilliput products. Please contact the seller. Actually Lilliput Electronics (USA) Inc. is sole authorize distributor of LILLIPUT products in U.S. We do not sell this item since we understand the quality issue in U.S. market and the factory is working on improving quality right now. Please let me know if you have any other questions.

--------

Does anyone else out there believe our shipping expenses should be covered. I am debating on whether or not to send mine back. I surely do not want to loose $25 each way for shipping.

Scott

Make sure the USB cable is plugged into the computer as well. For whatever reason, the picture is WIERD and doesn't show up all the time when the touch screen usb cable isn't attached. Just a thought.

Also, has anyone got the TV to work? I'm wondering if it is NTSC compatible. Thanks.

Scott

I'm sure in the spec it said NTSC and PAL compatible

This is all well and good but the fact is they should have never released this product until it was bench tested and working properly, why should the customer lose out with postage and tax etc. because of there cock up. Has anyone complained to eBay about this?

It was plugged in. I wish they would just send me another cable. Shipping alone for me would cost more than actually buying the damn thing. I am really starting to get peeved.

See what Ex-audio's response if first. If it is not satisfactory, we should all take it to the next level. Complain to ebay, complain to paypal, complain to the credit card companies. They will have their ebay and paypal privilages revoked. That will really screw them over, kinda like how we were all screwed over.

I guess you have no option but to wait for a reply from ex-audio first.
I think it became unsatisfactory the moment they advertised them on eBay when they had no stock, the early adds said order now for the 15th of June release date but when I bought mine on the 1st of July it said they had stock.

Wow I have read the last 4 pages and I have to admit that I am a little worried considering I ordered this unit and I am just now receiving a FedEx Shipment Notification. I’ll post results as soon as I get it.

Since I have an up coming surgery I doubt I will be able to install this unit in my car and was wondering if there was some way that I can test it out in my house. Any suggestions?

***edit***

Is it possible that you guys are wring the unit wrong (batt and vcc) and that's the reason why the motor is being fried?

You can use your computer power supply to test it out. The motor and the screen both run off 12V, so it wouldn't really maek a difference. Yo can't really wire it wrong. The motor is dying probably because of mechanical failure, not electrical.

Hi BlackFlux

You could test it on a desktop but the 12v power is the problem, if your nor sure don't do it, wait until you have time to test it in your car, or take your car-Pc in the house and do it that way, you still need the 12v supply though.

Can I ask what date did you make payment, just trying to work out when mine should arrive.

Tell me about it, I got charged £55 import duty, plus the £25 shipping to me and then apx £20 to ship it back so this unit will have cost me £100. I'm not damn well loosing that without a fight. I asked ex-audio if I can exchange for a regular 7" touchscreen as I have no faith in the motor being fixed properly (at this time I believed this to be the second newer motor) and all they said was:

"OK, please ship it back first. I will discuss with my director how to handle it afterwards." - Yeah thanks so I won't know how you'll resolve it until you get the unit back, real nice customer services..

Sounds like you’ve already made your mind up you don’t want this screen now and I don’t blame you owing to the past problems, so why not go through pay pal, (faulty goods) after all do you think they will treat you any better when they get the screen back.

I second regal. File a claim with Paypal or your credit card company and they'll change their tune quickly.
