Does anyone want to explain how to wire this up to my home PC so that I can test it? Oh and I haven't received it yet. Just getting prepared.

Sounds like you’ve already made your mind up you don’t want this screen now and I don’t blame you owing to the past problems, so why not go through pay pal, (faulty goods) after all do you think they will treat you any better when they get the screen back.

What you say is true but at the moment I'm not sure if I can claim the money as ex-audio have not refused to refund/exchange and paypal takes ages to sort disputes. For now I'm going to wait to see what ex-audio say, if they offer to refund postage costs then that will be easier than trying to claim it back off them later. I've put up with this so far so I want to see what explanation I get.

The motor problem combined with the vga issues people are having plus the high reflectivity of the screen have just put me right off.

The reason I'm so annoyed is that my install was in and finished by the original shipping date, now over six weeks later I still can't use it as I'd don't have a f*@*ing screen.

Screen reflectivity, note you can see the reflection of the sunvisors:

Some angles are far worse, it's like a mirror:

I have a laptop and like 3 desktop PC's in my house.

[edit] Wow I didn't think it was that bad.

God that’s bad I was kind a hoping the screen would be better than my Xenarc which is bad but that’s terrible.

I think I'm going to chancel mine and chose a different make, trouble is I need a separate amp then, I already have a Stock BMW HK amp in the boot of my Z3 could I use this without the radio?

What’s the most unreflective motorised VGA screen on the market at the moment?

I asked ex-audio if I can exchange for a regular 7" touchscreen as I have no faith in the motor being fixed properly (at this time I believed this to be the second newer motor) and all they said was:

"OK, please ship it back first. I will discuss with my director how to handle it afterwards." - Yeah thanks so I won't know how you'll resolve it until you get the unit back, real nice customer services..

They should really reimburse you for the shipping costs. The burrden should not be on us to ship back a faulty product, they should have tested before sending out. Any reputable company, for any type of product, would pay for the shipping. I've returned stuff before, and all shipping costs were covered.

I'm guessing but i have a normal Lilliput i molded in my dash,i have had it now 2 years, and this is reflective from some angles but not that bad. So with the improvements people say they made i can only assume it is better than i have. But any screen will reflect to some degree, unless they do them with that anti glare glass that some picture frames come with.

Hey guys, while driving to work today I found it very hard to read the text on the monitor due to the direct sun light. Do you guys have any recomendations to overcome this issue? I have the brightness setting at 100%.

Mine is an older unit but i put brightness up full then played with the colour and contrast settings, made it a little better.

Well I mailed both ex-audio and Lilliput to ask the truth about the rumours but neither of them replied, so I have just made it known to paypal what’s been going on with this seller i.e. selling without having stock and so on, let’s see what happens now.

That's really weird, I don't have a sunroof but it really looks like I do. I think it's just the angle I took it from, I took it from the passenger seat as I was trying to show how little it sticks out from the dash hence the "1inch" text. I can't work out what the hell is going on in the reflection...

I've emailed lilliput a few times regarding the screen, firstly to ask if there is a way to prevent reflection and secondly to complain about the motor issue. They've never replied to me. I don't think you'll get anything out of ex-audio until after this meeting.
It'll be intersting to see what paypal say, I can't believe that with all these problems they are still listing them for sale, - Three more people bought them today, that is outrageous.

This can't go on that’s why I've let pay-pal in on it, I would also report them to eBay it I could work out how to.
