Thumbs up It Works!

Well so far so good (touch wood)

I have had the screen running on the bench for a week now without any issues.

VGA input worked straight up.
No motor issues
Radio button didn't kill it
Touch screen works
TV fine

It will probably stop now I've written this.

Anyway probably install it in 2 weeks as time permits. i'll post updates as it goes.

cheers

Now I am scared that mine is not going to work either as i had the same problem as you Bikeboy24. I also ordered some cables. I will try programming mine like bran55 did. Hopefully that will work, but i doubt it.

1) First turn the monitor .

3) The screen will come out the enter code column .
4) Please use your remote and enter 0330001.
5) wait for 2 sec and press any number to save the code .
6) turn off the monitor and turn it back on .
7) it should have the VGA mode now .

i dunno if that can help any1 but good luck!

Hey bran55, what mode (input) were you in when you tried this code. Everytime I tried the 588998 I could never get the screen to come out. Any suggestions?

Hey, that’s good news, and it’s a bout time we had some.

So have you had it connected up to some speakers then?

I think he doesnt, most people had problems when the screen was hooked up in the car or connected to the speakers....

Do you have to hook it up to the speakers cant you control your speakers with your sound card ? or doesn't that work for the radio ?

No I haven't had speakers hooked up yet.

What would that do to the workings of the unit

I was thinking of running the line out to my sound card and then line out from sound card to amp - then speakers - what do you think?

cheers

You would need an amp, which make buying this monitor redundant since thats the reason most ar buying! AMP and RADIO. Yes it would NOT work with the radio if you used your sound card!

I think it would be easier with the line out to the sound card -> to the amp. Normallyu i think the radiofunction would work then. I'm still waiting to order this unit till erverything is just fine like promised If I buy another touchscreen without radio and amp it costs 150 euro extra so

I got that exact same response from ex-audio as blackflux got. They should really reimburse us for shipping it back, seeing how the unit NEVER WORKED to start off with. This is rediculous.

Has anyone actually sent their unit (no homo) back yet? Thinking about sending mine back this weekend via usps. I tried using their international shipping calculator but can't seem to figure that damn thing out. Everything I see on their site is about send letters.

Yes, I've just sent mine back because I was sick off banging my head against the wall with ex-audio, still after many letters to them they still insist on me returning the thing.

You don’t really have a choice, even if you go though pay-pal for a refund you still have to send the item back before they will reimburse you, less any shipping cost of course.

Be prepared for a bumpy ride trying to find a currier to send it for you.
Every one I tried needed a company letterhead and VAT No and proof of what was in the parcel.

I ended up sending it through a company I did work for in the past; even they wanted copies of the invoice and import tax slip.
