What I mean is they could just be standard pictures of accessories not specifically the accessories for the in dash screen.

Well you’re right about the good bashing.

At that point (page 15) I thought I had made ex-audio see sense and just send me a replacement and that would be the end of it, how wrong was I, pull out your bookmark, and read on.

You make no comments about your screen so I guess you must be one of the the lucky ones.

finally finished reading it all and I'm having the "no VGA signal" problem. Will try the entry code solution posted by bran:

1) First turn the monitor .
2) Use your remote and press 588998 .
3) The screen will come out the enter code column .
4) Please use your remote and enter 0330001.
5) wait for 2 sec and press any number to save the code .
6) turn off the monitor and turn it back on .
7) it should have the VGA mode now .

"NO VGA INPUT" Solution

well I've got some great news and some moderately bad news.

Good news:
VGA works!!! wootness. Not sure what caused it cause I made 2 changes--installed the TS drivers and turned the laptop on after the screen was open. I think it was the latter that did it.

I'm sure this wont solve everyone's VGA probs, but it helped at least one person (me).

Bad news:
still no audio on anything which leads me to believe I wired it up wrong, but I dont see how cause I bought a wiring harness from Circuit City and just matched the wire colors. I dont even get static noise. Can someone help me with this? My speakers wont even come on.

Notes:
I drive a BMW 323is (E36) and removed the head unit.
I received my screen about a week ago so this is one of the newest batches.

Well you obviously didnt read the thread carefull enough. The colours DONT match! Your wirring harness should have labelled cables, read them and match them with the ones of your screen using your manual!

well excuse me if I had to skim through a few pages of you nutcases babbling on about how you have a huge crush on Steven Sin. But seriously, thanks for the help! I'll go to CC and yell at them for a diagram since the colors mean nothing to me now.

The problem I was having was that it wouldn't even display the DOS bootup screen. I tried EVERYTHING. Even tried a few computers.

Glad you got yours to work though.
