ahhhhh, **** the ******* my car is giving me a headache, lousy citroen and them electronics and them console layout. because i thought a cable that was giving energy and when i put the car work the energey goes down and up (i thought humm this must be for vcc) but this just put the monitor like on stand by (i think) the buttons with weak blue light and giving me the time but i thought to be normal like power off (but then i realised that the monitor was giving too much temperature and i got scared) so i took off the vcc wire into another one that was giving energy but now i can't turn on the monitor without the key is half way to put the car working and now it doesn't give me any light or time but the temperature got low, like cold has any auto radio... all this to ask, does anyone knows where i can get a document or a website with car electronics just to know how to fix if there is any fix to this (at least to turn on the monitor without the key) for my car (citroen xsara 1.4i 2001)???
I appreciate the help.
btw the monitor rocks, working 100% of now (without the computer for now waiting for usb cable for the touchscreen) to try the computer

Try for car electronics you should fine all the info you need.
You have it weird the right way, it should come on when the ignition is turned on, if you want it on all the time put the VCC to Bat.

No, that’s why most people bought this because of the built in amp.

I’m sure you could take all the speaker wires to an amp; my Z3 is wired up that way.
Don’t ask me how.

There are line outs. However, the volume control doesn't work for the RCAs. Pretty strange isn't it?

so the audio wires can be connected to an amp??? how is it possible, like pre-amp + amp = blast of sound isn't it???
btw my radio sound is little bit wierd. like not enough definition i put 4 of bass and 3 of treble and i put the volume up and the sound is not very good like the speakers don't hold the sound. but with my original radio the souynd was mucch better than this... i don't know, must be the speakers...

I finally got the unit in my car. Seems to be working fine. The AM tuner doesn't work though, even with an amped antenna. FM seems ok. The TV tuner is ok, but the antenna I got (which is also amped). can't pick up that many stations.
I wouldn't connect the amped speaker wires to amp. Connect the audio out rca's. The only problem with those, is that you can't change the volume on the rcas for some strange reason.
Does anyone know if there's anyway to make the screen open up whenever the switched VCC line is turned on? It closes automatically when VCC is switched off. I don't see why it can't do the same thing when it is turned on.

Really???
Mine just turns on, where I can see the clock. I have to push the power button in order for it to pop out. Weird...

It works...it's not a big deal. It would have been nice to have it pop out when the switched line is live.

Hold your horses guys. I just recieved my unit from fedex (the lost the package for a couple off days ). And it seem to WORK! The motor open the screen perfectly. I havent connected the computer to try the VGA-mode yet, but i'll try to do that soon.
