how sturdy is the screen? Once its in its upright position, if you push on the top are of the screen does it flex at all?
Touchscreens are hard enough to use in the car as it si without them moving around when you touch them.

Lilliput GL701-NP
I just got my lilliput 7" indash screen from ex-audio on ebay and i installed it in my car and everything. I have to say that I am having problems with the touch screen. I was able to (after many reboots and different driver versions) get the touchscreen to work. However, it is very buggy in that sometimes it will just stop working and be unresponsive. Occasionally it will start working again but not for long. Is anyone else having the same problem???? what can i do?????

I got mine earlier this week. I noticed that the harness has 2 ground wires? Why is this? Also, the instructions don't really describe the wiring that well. Can someone breakdown the different colours? I'm assuming they follow the standard, but I just want to make sure. Thanks.

Also, I haven't hooked it up yet. Does anyone know if there is an auto fold down feature when the ignition is turned off? My current car deck does something like that.
I know with the other lilliput screens, you can program them to turn off automatically.

yes the screen does fold down after like 30seconds of turning the ignition off. Im not sure why they have two grounds. About what each wire is for did ur wires come labeled (ie front right = FR and rear left = RL) cause mine came with little stickers on them labeling them

When you say it folds down after 30 seconds, is that with the screen connected to the unregulated 12V from the car?
Yup, my wires came labeled too. Except for the orange one, that was not labeled. Normally, this is the dimmer wire.
Not sure what the blue wire is for either. Normally, this is for the powered/ampped antenna. It is labeled "POUR"
And which wire is for the remote turn on for my amps?

Did you also ground both the black wires? I'm thinking one is for the screen and the other is for the touch panel or radio. I wish I had the wiring diagram. I'm not sure whether I should ground the screen to my power supply or to the chasis.

Question 1 - it folds down when connected to the ignition wire and the permenant power source
Question 2 - mine was labeled "NE" which in the intructions means not used
Question 3 - yes the "POUR" is for a power antenna
Question 4 - Im jus taping into the ignition wire for my remote wire for the amps

Thanks for the quick replies.
I'm curious, why is the fuse on the switched power yellow VCC? Shouldn't it be on the constant power red batt?
Just to make sure, I connect my power supply wire to the red wire (BATT)? But that wouldn't be too good...the monitor would lose its settings everytime the computer shuts off wouldn't it?
