Maybe we could build a statue out of scrap Lilliput screens and gain some bad publicity for Lilliput that way, how high do you think it would be?

Send me all your broken Lilliput screens and I will start building it, if someone could setup a web site showing the statue and its progress wouldn’t that be cool.

What would be a good name for this statue any idea’s?

Another dead one for your statue mate...

Finally got my replacement this week, fitted it all nicely did all the wiring, was all really proud of myself worked ok for about 2 hours... Turned on the car a few minutes later after doing a clean install on the PC so that I would have a nice fast cool system, the radio on the screen came on, went onto full volume and stayed like that... Volume wont go down can not turn it off, non of the buttons work have unplugged it and plugged it back in still the same thing... This is the same problem with the first one I got the buttons just froze...

Have took the screen out as listening to static on the radio on full volume got a little annonying on the long drive home from work

Am going to apply for a refund can anyone recommend a decent 7" non motorised non moving screen that I could just build into my dash instead please??? Dont want to have any further problems like this, project is taking ages just cos of faulty products, just want a simple touchscreen, no tv, no radio. Just going to put it into the dash and build a frame around it, so wont have room for my front DVD or nice light up start button or USB port for flash drive, that I had built to go along this liliput screen

I think I am in a good way.

The fist one stay opened (can't close it or pass in radio mode) but the screen is on and I can play Video1,video2,VGA

The second is all blocked : can not do anything. The little blue screen stay in radio mode at 106.4 Mhz and screen is off.

The problem seems to come from an eeprom ship on the back of the main board : 24C02

I have made a system able to read the memory inside this eeprom and I am comparing the memory of the two chip (one ship each unit)

To confirm my theory , I need the .hex file from an 24c02 from a working unit.

The probelm is that noone would unsolder the little SMD chip, plug it to an eeprom programmer, read the eeprom, save in a text file and send it to me.

If my theory is true, the unit should works good again untill it will have a mistake in this chip when writting, causing THESE BUGS

Hi guys, I need help.

I need a .hex file with the datas contained in the EEPROM 24C02 under the main board.

I think the problem comes from it.

Just need the datas contained in it to put it into the eeprom and test it.

THE PROBLEM IS THAT I NEED SOMEONE WHO HAS GOT A WORKING UNIT AND WOULD BE KIND OF OPEN IT AND DO LIKE I DONE.

Anyway it will break a day (not reallly break but become crazy because datas in EEprom will be corrupted.)

We need like a backup of it!!!!

PLEASE MAKE A LIST OF PEOPLE OWNING THIS UNIT:

1st) COUCOUILLU : 2 units not working / both ready to flash EEPROM
2nd) ...

I have had three of these none of witch worked for more than five min's.

After over six months of battling with exaudio I’ve given up because it was making me ill and taking over my life

I'm now stuck with the last none working unit because it’s no longer cost effective to return it for another load off crap from Liliput.

I think Lilliput owe it to you to send the Hex files needed for free, fat chance though they don't respond when you mail them, How disgusting is that.

My Pioneer AVIC-X1R that I've decided to go with should arrive today.

Car-Pcs are great but the indash screens are still rubish in my eyes.
Good Luck coucouillu.

Mine still after i left it to fall in the floor i found a place where they repair monitors. It was working until today, well it's still working but it doesn't give any image. i have radio, i have audio with tv and pc but no image, it's funny to see it going from black to white the image, it's starts from one corner to all over the screen.

Coucouillu, i'll send you what you want, just tell me where it is located if you still want it.

I'm going to buy the k300 and mount a amplifier and forget radio for now and let the time goes until some company or some one sells a very good tv/radio pci....

Now that i was having great time with phone control and gps this **** broke, it was a good month playing with it.

And Saying goodbye to the lilliput, YOU SUCK, YOU LILLIPUT ****ERS.

ME TO EX AUDIO

Dear Mr Sin,

Thank you for replying my mail.
I am worry that you haven't understood.
I make agree with your sales departement not to return you these defective products (With Amy if I remermber).
I am an activ member ow www.mp3car.com forum. On this forum, Ex Audio has a bad reputation cause of these "bad" Lilliput indash units.
You have to understand that, for end users, particulary for european and american people, it is hard to understand how you thret you customer.
I have purposed on this forum to try to find the problem of these units for those who don't want to send their products back to you due to additives costs, imprtation tax, etc..
So you should understand too, that I can't send my own products back to you because they have both warranty void (I have opened them for repair.
What I am waiting about you is a little help.
Like you could see in joined pictures, I have unsolder the 24c02 Eeprom for main board.
I think that the problem come from here.
I only need a ".hex" file with data which are contained in this 24c02 when unit works.
If I am true, the unit will work again. I want just to re initialize the memory of the unit.
I hope you will help me or find a solution for me.
Don't let me and other end users in this situation,
ALL MP3CAR MEMBERS ARE WAIITING FOR ME TO KNOW WHAT YOU WILL DO.
I make you confidence that you will make your better...
Thank you for replying.
Best regards.
Brice JARRAH

EX AUDIO TO ME

HI,
do you think you can pack it back together like never open the case ? don't worry about the warranty seal , if you cna pack it back like never open , I still can replace the item to you . no problem. I have to wait your answer before ask lilliput to get that part , because if I ask him and they can't help me , then even you ship it back to me , lilliput will know that I know this problem and won't warranty me , but if I didn't ask them and just ship it back to me . I can just tell them I already replace the item to you and no turning back . so they have to warranty me about this problem even the warranty seal is broken. please let me know about what you think, ann if you chose to ship it back . please make sure you print out this email and ship it back with the item , because our RMA department will know that I agree to replace the item to you . Thanks !

He is offering to replace the unit if you send it back to him and tells you not to worry about the seal.
If he contacts lilliput and asks for their help in getting what you need, lilliput will no doubt want to how such a specific request has been asked.
He will then have to tell them that you have opened the unit and, the warranty is void.

Two possible reasons(I think) for his reply.

1. He is trying his best and still thinks you want a replacement.
2. He doesn't know who/want to contact lilliput.
