Have put the car pc on hold for the moment since changing car but have returnd to the forums to get an idea of what I want. I had (foolishly!) thought that these lilliputs might have been revised and sorted by now... I am tempted by the digitalww flip out monitor but I'll definately hold back.. Don't fancy being a beta tester again!
The units are slighly different, if you check ste_novas' picture against this the buttons on the lower half are a little different.. Still not going to buy one though!!

i got this exact model on my car, had it since march, still works. some thoughts i have:
the good:
flips indash, has reverse camera connection, vga, radio, tv, built in 45watts output
the bad:
resolution is average but cant compare with my previous xenarc, sound is ****ty, tv might be better if i can find the right antenna for it, if you are using the reverse camera function on an automatic like me then you better be happy shifting gear from park to drive since its gonna jump to reverse mode and back to vga when you shift. the worst part about this is it always loses the freakin picture after 3 seconds when shifting from reverse to drive, you have to cycle through the video modes and back to vga before the picture stays. not sure if its my connections or its the lilliput.
you cant listen to the radio when the screen is up, if you press radio, the monitor flips back, i wish they didnt have to do that, its either you are listening to the radio screen flipped down, or vice versa
honestly i only got excited with this because of the reverse camera function, so i would not recommend this unless you want that function. better with an HU connected to the AUX. Ow and one more, whining is impossible to take away, when using the radio no whining, sounds still ****ty though, but when you start using the vga function, whining is crazy, i even spent the best monster xln interconnect cables and ran them away from the power source, but still get a whine, i think its the thin rca connectors going to the lilli.
but i still have it, it still works, thank goodness.

recommend meh!
Okay guys, its been about a year .. what screen do any of you recommend that is generally better than this lilliput screen, as I am in the market for a new screen. I here the xenarc screens have issues themselves.
I want to have a head unit to go along with the monitor, dont plan to use the monitor for anything other than generate images and use windows..obviously..
thanks for any info/recommendations

CrazyStick, before a more advanced users comes and bashes you...SEARCH! go through the reviews, the FAQ's, the products. You know your application, you have tons of resources available. Search through the FAQ's and Reviews. That's a good place to start. I noticed that majority of actual posts that get decent attention are those involving detail and not general topics found in newbie areas. IE motorized vs non motorized, INput/OUTput you'll be needing. IN-Dash vs Mounted. G'luck finding what you need.

Ok, my fourth screen is wired and connected now. And the buttons doesn't work?! Are there any quick-fix for this, or just repair/replace? I'm getting sick of this screen now, good for me I use another screen, but I so want this screen to work too. I don't buy anything that is broken before I get it

Are you looking for why lilliput's indash screen (old models) don't work ?
Because i have identified why. This is an EEPROM issue. Look here :
HISTORY
If more explainations are needed, feel free to ask.

Hello There,
unfortuantly i had ordered my screen 1 week before i read this post. i'm hoping that the version I receive works as they cost alot of money
I attempted to read this entired thread but started seeing stars after page 56.
As a result I now have a few questions.
1> are the screens working now? i assume they should be working as mp3car are selling them?
2> were any of the issues ever resolved e.g. refunds?
3> are ex-audio still trading on ebay?
Thanks in advance

well i, like many other crestfallen owners, put this proj on the shelf and I'm taking one last swing at it. Everything is working now, except I'm not getting sound in any modes except radio. It was working before I had to disable the constant power wire that kept draining my battery. I can ghetto-esquely play an Ipod in AM radio mode with little static/interference. Looks like a few others ran into this. Did anyone fix this problem?
