This is NOT good news. You'd expect a better product for that much money.

I agree you should be able to expect a better product for that much money.
But when you consider that lilliput cant even get the mechanicals of their cabling right in the stand alone screens, its not surprising they're having trouble with their motorised in dash design...

Damn I was exited by these as well, available to Australia for a good price from that guy who claims to be the only legal ebay Lilliput retailer.

This is a real shame, I was hoping to use this screen in my Carputer, now I either have to wait for them to fix the problems before I buy, or choose something else that doesn't really do all that I need! Bummer!

Since it has a audio AMP on the screen, is there an Audio IN?? so I can plug in the audio out from the computer to the Audio IN on the screen and then the screen is wired to my car speakers??? Cause that would eliminate the need for an AMP or Modulator or whatever... So im jw...

I dont hink that there is a Audio IN, however it can easily be hacked to create a Line IN input.

Do you mean the lilliput or the mp3car screen? The lilliput has audio ins for the vga input, I was checking that out when the screen froze (I already have a glovebox mounted kenwood for the sound) it's pretty clever as you have a seperate audio in for the video 1 input. It's really annoying because apart from the high reflectivity of the screen and the motor this unit could be perfect, it's got so much more features than it's competitors and it's an all in one unit with no hide-away box.
Also someone asked if any have arrived in the UK, well yes as I'm in the UK.

I got an invoice yesterday for £55, £11 of that is handling charges. I don't know what your rate will be as I see you are in Greece.
I mailed ex-audio last night and referenced this thread but I'm still awaiting a reply...

Is the same....its an EU thing..not country specific. Ex-Audio states, that any duty is paid by the buyer, it is in their auction page too.

Quick update, the motor is well stuck, it cannot be moved manually and connecting it to the power does nothing it just bleeps and won't move or turn on. I'm still awaiting a reply from ex-audio. It's never taken this long for them to reply before. I've got to say I'm really annoyed about this. Waiting a month for them to fix the problem and now it seems they sent the old ones out anyway. This is poor service, really poor. I suppose that if they are all faulty then there is a better chance of getting a refund but we may get stung for the duty anyway. I think I'm going to try and get fed-ex to charge the duty to ex-audio as by sending the old unit they have sent me the wrong item.. It's worth a try but I don't suppose it'll work...
