Replacement Cable

I was wondering if you found a source for the replacement cable for the 8" Touchscreen? Mine had a short in the DIN connection and I had the bright idea to just cut out the DINs and wire direct, so I peeled back the coating on the PC side of the DIN and logged the pinout and proceeded to do the same on the monitor side. I just whacked it off then peeled back the coating to find (red/blk/brown-red/blk/brown-red/blk/brown) so now i'm screwed. If someone has the pinout for the special plug that plugs into the monitor (i would be very thankful) then i could maybe ring the wires to determine the proper connection, but at this point I'm looking for a replacement.

You need the pinout on the cable that attaches directly to the monitor? the 24 pin or whatever it is? How are you going to connect to the monitor, VGA, S-Video, or composite? Let me know and I will try to ring it out tonight.

lilliput 8"

I am trying to run VGA and touchscreen, I chopped the DIN connectors off the special vga/ts cable because it kept losing connection between them. I had to apply constant pressure (push them together) to keep the signal, as soon as I would relax the screen would say "no vga signal", anyway what I need to fix my cable now is the pinout from the white 26 pin monitor plug to the 15 pin vga and usb, I'm assuming only 9 of these are used since the DIN plug was only 9 pin, Thanks for your help J's89

I will work on this for you this weekend. It shouldn't be very difficult. I'm going to post the connections between the 26 pin and the 9 Pin. The connections between the 9 pin to the USB/VGA are already posted, and I will be replying via my cell phone internet. So just refer back Snootch's post for the last half of what you need.

Does someone know if this DIN connector is a good available standard one ?
Someone knows the exact type (or ordering code ) ?

Would like to create my own custom cable with all in one cable (audio for the screen speaker, vga , touch usb, power) and long enough to go from the front of my A4 to the back (below the rear seat)
