HELP: 8" Lilliput TS Owners- need a favor

***Edited***
I broke a pin off of the 15 pin connector coming off of the 9 pin mini-d that connects to the monitor. Like an idiot, I cut the plug off to replace it without ringing out the other wires first. If someone could ring out the 9 pins and tell me where their position on the VGA and USB plug, I would GREATLY appreciate it!!!!

I've called Digitalww 5 or 6 times and left messages and they never call back, and also sent an email, no response there either.

Because I'm racing Sunday, and need to datalog/ tune. If I can't find what I need or make it work I will. I did find some help here: http://www.tmz.com/wrx/lilliputlcd.html

I'm going to have to sort through it and see if it works. I'm checking on how a 9 Pin connector is numbered now!

Thanks for hte replies though.

It's not quite that easy. I search and read all of the VGA pinouts on the web, but since I don't know which wire performances which function they're not very helpful. So Cut a VGA ext ention and color matched the wires, with the exception of two that didn't match. Plugged it in, and tried with the wires on both of the others but no dice. Does anyone have a color to pin diagram for this set of connectors?

Its an 8" if they're different!

If you post the PLEASE give me some terms, cause I tried!

Thanks!!!

THere is no standard wire color, only standard pins. Just cutting and connecting like colors is a VERY BAD IDEA in general. You need to "beep" out the wires and pins.

Besides, what did you break, and what did you cut and connect?

WRX? Is that a coincidence or is that your site I found? If it is, many thanks-very helpful.

I did ring out the 9 Pin connector- I'm not sure how it's numbered, But assuming it's

..
....
. ..

Top to bottom left to right:
1 BK
2 BR
3 R
4 OR
5Y
6 GR
7 BL
8 Purple
9 GY

I'm still lokking for the layout of the numbering of a 9 pin connector. After I find that I should be able to figure it out with the diagrams in the link. If you know of a simpler 9>15 pin diagram please send me toward it!

Since the pins on the VGA connector are numbered, i'll give you the pinout assuming on the 9-pin DIN connector, the two pins side by side are at the bottom, and pin#1 is top left, so the pins are like:
12 3
4567
89

okay, VGA pin#1-----DIN pin #1
14----2
13----3
2----8
3----9
Hope this helps..

I needed the pins from the barrel connector to the VGA cable, but Snootch hooked me up. Now all I need is the USB to Barrel or VGA whichever it connects to. Thanks for the help guys!

USB pinout:
Looking at the USB connector with the logo on top (white part on bottom)
the 1st pin(left to right) goes to barrel pin#6
2nd USB pin to barrel pin#4
3rd USB pin to barrel pin #5
4th USB pin to barrel pin #7
USB and barrel shield also connected to VGA pin#6
all connector shields are connected together.

Hope this helps as well..

Thanks again Snootch. You da man.

I got the monitor wired up and it works. I can see the splash page, and the status bar while the computer loads Windows, but then the screen goes blank, and it gives me the "NO VGA SIGNAL" message. Any ideas? That's what it was doing originally, when I found the broken pin, so basically I'm back to where I started.

Alright, I tried the screen with my X Box and it worked fine off of the RCA's. I checked the computer with my home monitor and it works fine. So the problem lies between the barrel connector and the VGA cable that connects to the computer. I don't understand why I can see the splash page and boot screen and then it goes blank. Does this mean Windows is not "seeing" the monitor?
