Not bad, or you can one of the lcds that a few of us have gotten for pretty cheap

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=7987232896

Looks like a rebranded Xenarc according to the few, the panel looks identical. I got mine and can say I have had no problems at all with it.

The 8" doesnt look bad either for the price, but Im sure you could probably find cheaper if you look hard enough.

Don't wanna sound cynical,

BUT

Getting one sent from the states could turn into a major PITA if there was a fault or one developed.
The sale of goods act in the UK gives you a lot of protection too.

Whats the better screen Lilliput or Xenarc?

Hardware/software requirements for t-screen

What hardware/software requirements does a touchscreen need.

The reason for asking is that I'm planning on using some old socket 7 stuff, doing the install, live with it for a while and taking my time tweaking 'n' such before splashing out on the "proper" stuff.

a later socket 7 may *just* have a high enough revision of usb to work with a TS ... the drivers are small and freely available for everything from xp to dos so youve no problems there.

heh, I wouldnt say more than enough by any sorts, that 64 meg is gonna lag you on pretty much anything other than basic music playback.

The 500 with say, 128 - 512 mb would get you video, gps, etc.

Got the test rig up and running.

Your right doesn't do dvd's, or any mp4 stuff.
Plays mp3 and vcd's though.

Like I said though, before I splash out on the "proper" stuff I want to run it and see if I'm using it and make the extra expense worth it.

Anyway back on topic
