The displayed "800x480" looks crisp & clear, but the bottom portion of the screen is missing.
There is no "800x480" option in the BIOS.
I'm performed the flash on a new XPSP1 install.
Thats not occuring as a result of the BIOS change. It is possible to get the screen in this mode on most of the latest BIOS revs, so it just means its not exposing 800x480 like it should. I have several mails out to Via, will post more when I hear back from them tomorrow.

All three of my lilliputs didn't lock on. I think they are all the first or rev. Unfortunatly no one has posted any way to tell the differences in the revs.
Perhaps with powerstip the lilliput monitor will lock on, or maybe it is just the lilliput itself. Who knows.
I was never worried about getting 800x480... if it came to it i was just going to get an addon card, in my eyes it was always getting the lilliput to lock onto its native resolution. Perhaps with another card and drivers it will work but being stumped on this one doesn't make me want to get out there and spend the money to find out.

Early adoptors get screwed again. This:
http://www.viaembedded.com/product/e...therboardId=21
suggests that the original EPIA 800 uses a chipset other than the CLE266. Is there any chance that we'll see a BIOS and driver revision for this board?

If you stripped out all the useless info from this thread, it would be only three posts long. Can we please stay on topic? If you have success with this bios update, please include a list of your hardware / driver versions. Thanks to those that are helping to make this happen.

Did you guys know that the users know as "dragonBTV" (the one that is developing the 300W PSU) paid for those files?? I bet you did not.... and He did no say something like "I need money from each one that is going to download the file".
He did it because he love the forum and because in some way we are his pals.

Hiya,
I'm one of the people that installed the earlier BIOS release thanatos106 was one about - it was for the M's not the MII's - thanatos106 took the CLE266 part out of the alpha 800x480 bios and put it into the current MII BIOS IIRC (which worked, but not at the right resolution)
As a lilliput owner I don't think this Beta will work for me but I am willing to give it a shot if it works for anyone with a Xenarc.
IIRC correct, as shown in the screenshot thanatos106 has posted, with the previous version I assume you need to go into the the display adapter 'List all modes' section to select 800x480 (as you normally do with any non standard res that the graphics adapter supports).

Like I see it, some noob comes around, posts a link to some files of VIA that supposed to be working when their not. Since I have 800x480 working with the old drivers (dragonBTV) I couldnt care less what this guy or VIA has to say in their email conversation. Come back when it works or shut up!

Are you saying that you have 800x480 working with the onboard video? I thought I'd scoured through all the other "finally a working 800x480 driver" posts and came to the conclusion that it was still impossible...can you please give me some details?
