So is the basic answer with this quest, that if you have a mII12000 and a xenarc 7" you cant get native resolution. Can someone be clear as to how i would exactly achieve this.

800x480 working with SP13000 and Lilliput

using the 1.06 (and now 1.07) bios, I was able to get the 800x480 option to show up, but the display wouldn't sync correctly. No amount of tweeking with powerstrip would make it work. I went back to 800x600.
I later installed Toonel for my GPRS compression (I know, nothing to do with display res). Toonel displays a small window by default in the upper left corner of the display. I put Toonel in my startup folder. Again, totally unrelated, I thought I'd have another crack at the old 800x480 problem.
I rebooted, and when the 'loading personal settings' screen came it, it was doing it's old not syncing correctly trick, but when the Toonel window loaded, it synced and everything was cool. If I start toonel minimised, the lilly fails to sync. If i minimise it after it has synced, it is fine. I've had to use hibertrigger to bring the toonel window to the front and send it to the back so the display re-sync's when it comes out of standby, because if centrafuse is at the front, it won't sync. I'm sure it's not specifically toonel that fixes it, just its position. But as it all works for me, I havent bothered to investigate this further.
I look forward to hearing how other people go with it, or how my semi-long winded fix can be shortened!

Can't belive i wasted 10 minutes of my time reading all the crap in this thread. good luck but unless VIA gets a lilliput screen to play with while developing i say it is a no go.

I am almost free from these threads. I have a Insight p4-itx going in the car sometime this week.

I updated my Board with the new beta bios and used the most recent drivers..

Now i can switch to 848*480 (it works - yeah! But the fonts are blurry.. ), but i can't find the resolution 800*480 in the "Advanced Modes" List. My Xenarc 700IDT syncs in every resolution..

If it works in 848*480, is there a solution to add a specific resolution to the Via Driver.. ?

Where's written which resolutions are available ? Is there an inf file or is it in the Driver Core ?

As already stated here:

Oh please people, be clear!

Do you have:

- 800*480 resolution (NOT 848*480!!!)
- @something else than 60Hz
- your lilliput/xenarc/whatever native 800*480 screen (so no crt!) locking and recognizing this resolution

If not, please tell so too, so i'm not waiting for answers that'll never come (and a lot of others with me).

Thanks!

I have had enough of this **** now, all those people trying to show how important they are and how many contacts they have, telling it works, ****ting on the heads of forum-members, and not testing it themselves!!!

Prove you have something more interesting to say than the fact my english is bad

If you're so old, you could at least have learned to have some respect.

I have the 1.17 bios installed. with standard windows drivers (after fresh install), the 800x480 shows up in the advanced tab, no luck in using it. With the newest drivers from via arena (dated 15th september 2005) the 800x480 is gone in the advanced tab..

Go figure.. thought that they had done something for this to work..

Guys, I have M10000,
Correct me if I'm wrong after reading these thread on and off and makes me exited ...boring, the latest driver from VIA doesn't work for 800x480 resolution ????

so there is no solution to get 800x480 without VGA card (using onboard VGA) ??

I do not want to install cga card for this, couse I already using the only PCI slot.

regards
rud
