who wants to do a big favor?
well, it's not that big of a favor, i just need some help. I'/ve decided i'm gonna do it --build a computer system for my car. but i wanna go all the way with it, e.g. GPS Nav... No here's my concern: like many, i';m a college kid without a lot of extra cash. I've been reading about not being able to read the words on normal lcd displays when using GPS or anything using small text. I don't wanna spend a bunch of money on the wrong thing. what is good enough to have a display that is comparable to, say, a screen on a laptop (not in size, though, of course). I used to think i was computer saavy, and i thought i knew what VGA was, but it seems there is variation with LCD VGA. I guess what i'm really asking is: should my lcd display use a VGA monitor plug-in, or would a RCA input from, say, an ATI All-In-Wonder card be cool? t hanks for reading

RCA Plug is standard TV resolution, roughly 320x240. This is enough if you use text magnification. A lot of people do this. You might want to try VGA(640x480) though.

A VGA LCD in not really recommended for your budget, they can run you $600-$1500, you can get a good TFT screen w/ RCA input for $200-$400.
