Post Weird Hitachi LCD Laptop Screen

I have been given a reasonable size Hitachi LCD model number LMG9400XUCC which I think is DSTN but i am not sure. The age of the laptop that it came from would suggest this. However, I do not know what to use to allow me to plug this in to my pc - I have only been able to find TFT controllers. The screen itself may be poor quality but this doesn't matter - I only need it for GPS, which the size of the display should help to clear up ugly fonts. The final connector that connects to the laptop mainboard is 40pin (i have the old laptop mainboard if this is any help but I fear the tosh laptop bit the dust as someone poured tango all over it!) but this comes from one 15pin connector and one 14 pin connector on the lcd itself, with a small separate pcb which connects to the lcd (possbily power supply??). This small board also has 2 other wires - one 2 pin plus earth loop which im guessing is power and another 8 pin of which 7 are used. This came from an old toshiba notebook. Does anyone know how i can use this in my mp3 car or should i just throw it out?

I do have a ISA LCD DSTN/TFT controller card that has 40pin connector on it.
If you are intrested i could sell that to you providing you will pay the shipment fee from Australia.
I can send you the pic of it if you like...
it comes with the cable and everything.

Sorry I have no ISA slots on my car player - any ideas where I could get a pci version of that card?
