I think you're on to something here, I never intended to use mine for the audio but I hooked up the speakers as I was doing a review of it. I attached all the speakers but only 3 out of 4 worked, it was whilst they were connected that the motor stopped working, I just assumed that one speaker wire had got caught behind the dash and disconnected. Somebody did ask why there was a fuse on the acc wire, maybe the wires are labled wrong and this is causing the motors to fry??

I think the (NE) green & white wire and the black (ground) wire underneath it are mixed up.
Don't just try it, test it first, I'm not 100% sure on this.

If the motor was working before, it was connected correctly. I think the RED wire is used for the motor (labeled BATT). Afterall, it's probably just a standard 12V stepper motor inside.
I think the LCD panel pulls current from the YELLOW wire (ACC), and the motor pulls current from the RED wire (BATT). This would make sense, since the screen retracts once it detects that the YELLOW (ACC) line is off. The Red wire would always have to be on.

If you found some wireing mis labeled...maybe it all is...time to crack the case and follow the wiring.
however...you shouldn't have to do that on something you paid money for.

I got my liliput a couple of days ago. It is still on my test bed. So far:
1. Motorized screen wooks, but it doesn't sound health. It grinds and almost stalls.
2. The VGA works well. No problem at 800 x 600. The screen is clear, but no were near as bright as the claimed 400cd/m2. Surface is less reflective than my Zenarc.
3. Radio works, but reception is poor. There is a lot of noise, and the tone is tinny.
4. The amplifier section is a mess. The left speaker does not work in the VGA mode, the right does not work in the Video 1 mode. The loudness only seems to work on one channel. Regardless of the function the sound is crap.
This unit is going back. If only the radio tuner were acceptable, I could live with it. Of course, the radio shuts off when in VGA mode, so I cant even use the 'puter for a preamp.
I cant belive that Liliput released this piece of sh-t to the world

It was this quote that made me wonder if it's version two, mine was reflective as hell.

Just checked one of the links on that guys site, looks like they "could" just be standard pictures as the same accesories are pictured with this screen too.

I got my unit from Geeks. It does not have a Liliput badge, just a serial number on the back. The cables look just like the ones in your post. The screen is definitily not reflective.

I just took some pictures of the Liliput vs the old Zenarc 700TS. I need to retract what I said. The Liliput is as reflective as the Zenarc, maybe more. The difference is the type of antiglare treatment. The Zenarc has an optical coating which imparts a deep violet hew to the screen, but the reflection is sharp, not diffuse. The Liliput has matte finish that does not reflect a sharp image, but does reflect a lot of light.
