toto thanks for your info.
I finally got my 31pin hirose connector from Allen (thanks Allen) and this weekend im going to try connect everything together.
I'll take your advice and will connect starting from R2-R0 and going up.
Just a one question when you go to select the number of colors in the windows what do you set it to be? as far as i remember you can only get 256, 16bit and 24bit... how can you select 12bit?
Or do you just leave it on 16bit but the LCD only shows the 12Bit of it?
Thanks again and well done.

31 pin hirose cables
Hey Karda,
Check out my post in the for sale and trade thread. I'm going to be placing an order later this week.
Respond to that thread if you need a hirose 31 pin cable.

looking for either these by tdk
CXA-L0505-NJL ( 5 watt input)
CXA-L0512-NJL (12watt input)
preferable the 5v one, but just wondering where you got yours from.

I got mine from EarthLCD. You can probably find it cheaper elsewhere though. I got it from them because it was included in the package with the LCD cable.

ok 2 questions:
1. so which inverters are people sucessfully using with the "dennis k" screens?
2. pigseye: are the hirose cables we ordered going to be wired R0:R0, R1:R1 etc or R2:R0, R3:R1? thanks guys!!

Etrik,
The DennisK screens are generally LQ9D161 or LQ9D166. The pinouts from a Allen Ruble controller do not match the pinout for the LQ9D161.
Thus the cables for this set up are wired as you described for the colors. i.e. R2 controller to R0 of LCD, R3 Controller to R1 LCD, and so on.
I have you down for one LQ9D161 and one 1 to 1 cable.
See the link below for what I avhe as your order.

Is that what you want?
Please let me know.

Looking odd is kind of vague. Can't help you without more info.
what's wrong with the pic?
what controller?
What pinout are you using?
what kind of cable?
What have you done to test it?
blah blah blah

The picture looks rainbowy and winamp doesn't look correct.
The images have static around them too.
I'm running 256 color mode, I'll take a digital cam picture later. To show you the problem.
