Post Vertical Sync

For some reason my 7" LCD keeps scrolling vertically like an old tv. I'm running it in NTSC mode from a ATI 128 (Rendant LCD). I've been running it off its dc converter in the house (to test it before I install it in the car). One person I talked to thought it was the power supply.

Any ideas???

Thanks Much!

I checked the Redant website and they had an announcement that said they would be closed for the next week due to holidays. I emailed them with my question anyways. To my suprise I received a response just a few hours later (unfortunately after I'd ripped the entire thing apart to test it).

It turns out that there are some "hidden" buttons to switch between NTSC and PAL mode (as well as flip horizontal and flip vertical). I turned it on in PAL mode and presto...

I must say that I am thoroughly impressed. While normal win2k is unreadable, with a few adjustments (fonts to 20) everything is visible. The LCD is suprisingly bright and colorful. The quality is not comparable to VGA, but for $199 its one hell of a deal.

I can post pictures/info if anybody wants to see/know more.

Take it easy...

Could you post some pics of this thing torn apart? Along with pics of the picture quality of Windows. Thanks!

Sure no problem. I got a ton of pictures. I'll try to have them up by tomorrow...I still have it apart if you want any specific pictures, but Laxrox pretty much covered that already.

I'll shoot a couple pics running Windows, WinAmp, and some other stuff...
