LCD for 2000 Honda Civic

Hey there, I have a 2000 Honda Civic and I've been staring at the radio console for five years thinking that an LCD screen would fit great in that big square. I've searched and found a couple of people with 2k Civics, but not many pics.

Are there any LCDs that fit nicely in that spot without much or any mod? Also, has anyone setup a removable LCD, similar to the removable faceplates?

Thanks

a 7" lcd barely fits a 2-din hole. you'll need to do some bondo work on your panel to make it fit right.

a 6.5" lcd fits, but there are no available 6.5" vga touchscreen lcds. pioneer avic-d2 is an example of a 6.5" lcd using 2-din openings.

since you're on a 2000 civic, it's radio panel is similar to the newer civics. check out these finished projects:

7" will be fairly tight fit with little room for buttons or anything else.
see my thread on http://www.mp3car.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=55787
the last one is a 7" screen, you can see how tight it is.
