<begin history lesson>

Nope, they came out in late 02/ early 03 and the Lilliputs came out in like august of 03. Xenarcs started at about $600 iirc and the Lilly's you had to buy from Hong Kong for about $320 shipped.

Before that the most popular screens were from point-of-sale cash registers that were being parted out on ebay. $300 for a 10.4" touchscreen whose housing was about 2 inches thick. The only people that could really use them were those like me who had large trucks (at the time).

Jason Moon, known here as Moon, was the original admin and owner of the site. He disappeared in around 2001 and ZipLock took over along with Aaron Cake as administrator. Then there was an issue with the boards and some guy basically destroyed the site (see "I am best hacker"). bgoodman came in and repaired the site and thus had the name of "mr. fix-it," as well as becoming a moderator at the same time. Aaron retired as Admin and bgoodman took that position, then came Frodo.

<end history lesson>

I think that's pretty accurate, but I'm open to any corrections (by people who would actually know, that is)

I am not aware of this model

99%, it has a parallel 8-bit digital bus at TTL Level,
and is memory mapped.
That means that works like any graphic lcd screen for
embedded devices, and believe me is very dificult to
use it, without special knowledge of low-level programming.
The only way you can work with, is through parallel port,
using a special software for visualization of winamp.
