Post Do i need backlight inverter for Sharp 6" LCD ?

Do i need backlight inverter for Sharp 6" LCD ?

From the web search and data,
i need 12V, 5V, -8V

I need backlight inverter for Sharp 6" LCD even though i have 12V, right?

I need to feed 12V to inverter and inverter will light up LCD.
Is it correct?

I want to make sure about this..

Thank you very much

it depends on wheter your lcd has an inverter itself or not..

I'm assuming for this brand/size/make that the ivertor for the backlight is already implemented in your LCD

Part of...
Depends on how much power/current the inverter needs.. but most likely this will be 12v
Yes...
your invertor will light up lcd by sending it's high voltage (~1000v) to the backlight-cathode (look out with this!).

Can you post pictures of your LCD to make sure that it has an invertor.. I'm assuming it has one. but i always could be wrong...

As far as i can see the lcd doesn't have an backlight-invertor

The 2 wires coming out of the back which are connected to the cathode-backlights HAVE TO BE wired to an backlight-invertor..

This is a special board that inverts the 12v up to ~1000v (almost no A's).

You'll have to for a convertor that suits this display..
Sorry , but i don't know where to gett them.. maybe flat-panel.com sells them..

Maybe the other guys around here know where to get them.. Right .. Guys ????

Greetzz and Succes solving your problem !
