Is there a way to make the display fill the whole screen or alittle over? I can hook-up four other devices to the display (VCR, TV, Web-Cam, Camcorder) and they all use the whole screen.

It may be the way the TV sees the sync signal from our card. If that is the case then there is no known resolution for it.
You may want to try the latest ATI Display driver for your product, perhaps even try The alternative Display Driver for your product.
Really helpful. I'm going to email them back and ask why the tuner software can use the whole display.

If your TFT supports PAL input, try to make your video card output PAL.
Tried it. Only would output B/W and same problem. My LCD supports both NTSC and PAL.

So far all i know is the file "ATITVO32.dll" has to do with the tv-out settings on ATI cards. Like I stated before my card will only overscan while i'm using their tuner software @ 640x480. Otherwise it is a 1cm border on the top or bottom or a 1/2cm border top and bottom. ATI tech support has been no help at all. They only give me idiot answers like: Install the lastest ATI drivers; Insure the correct monitor driver is installed. Last I knew tv-out didn't need a driver. I'm playing around with powerstrip, but no luck so far. If i could just find out what mode the card is in when I use the tuner software.

i have the same problem with my Jaton Trident 77-3d&tv (9750). someone said that there was a file or something that will make it permanently overscan. i have the overscan option, but it will only go into overscan when i manually enable it after every boot. im stuck for ideas.

I got the registy edit to work. For Rage Pro cards
1) Go to "HLM\software\ATI Technologies\Desktop" Then look for "TVOverscan" change the value to "1"
2) Reboot
3) Open the display properties
4) Click Advanced
5) Click the adjustment tab
6) Select "Televison" for display
7) Click Advanced
8) See the new Overscn option.
Hope it helps.

finally!! got it working!! this is how i did it
1) go to start then run, and type REGEDIT
2) find the folder: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\
Software\ATI Technologies\Driver\####\DAL
(#### = version of the driver you are using on your video card)
3)when you get to the "DAL" folder add DWORD "TVEnableOverscan" and change the value to "1"
4) restart your computer
you should have the option now
Note this "hack" should work with the following cards:
ALL-IN-WONDER 128 PRO
ALL-IN-WONDER 128
RAGE FURY PRO
RAGE FURY
RAGE MAGNUM
RAGE 128
RAGE 128 PRO
XPERT 2000 PRO
XPERT 2000
XPERT 128
XPERT 99
Make sure you are using NTSC! i dont think this would work on PAL
GOOD LUCK!!

Looks like this is a common problem on most video cards.
I've tried a Creative TNT2 Ultra, a Leadtek Geforce2 MX and a ATI AIW Radeon and they all leave a 0.5" border all the way around the screen.
I'm using the Geforce 2 card right now with Detonator 3 drivers from NVidia, so if anyone knows how to overscan this card...help!

I have tested 3 video cards. ATI AIW PRO PCI 8MB, Trident 9685 4MB with TV-out (PCI) and the MSI6215 bookPC with TV-OUT ( on intel 815 chipset)
Out of all of them i couldn't get the ATI to stretch and fill my 5.6" LCD but on the trident and the intel chipset I was able to do so. The newest intel chipset is very good by the way, I highly recommend the MSI bookPC.
