Lilliput 629GL-70NP and IH002 indash housing

Hello Guys,

I just E-mailed Armen and he is going to try and install my Lilliput 629GL-70NP into the IH002 in-dash housing he sells, at DigitalWW.

I've decided to let him do it as apposed to me for three reasons.

1. I'll need the buttons and PCB from the old lilliput, which I don't have.
2. It sounds like no one has tried it yet, and I know he's installed more of these then I have.
3. I believe the connector for power and vga/video are on the other side of the monitor.

That's just to many headaches for me. Just in case anyone is interested, I'll let you know how it goes.

The monitor, video/USB cable and a copy of our E-mail has been shipped 2nd day UPS. Damn I hope it's going to work.

I checked with Armen and he has received my Lilliput. I've got to tell you guys, it's sucks having my car PC down. It will be worth the wait when I see that bad boy flip up into place for the first time, UH I just got a chill.

I have the older lilli with the same In-dash unit. Armen installed it and it runs GREAT!

Hey guys, i ordered the IH002 from Armen in late June, he said it was out of stock but would be available in about 10 days (from the purchase date in late June). I haven't heard a peep out of him since, no responces to my emails or a phone call. So has anyone recently got this product from Armen?

I checked the DigitalWW website, and the housings are in. So get it while you can.

Wouldn't you just use a 1 din HU mounting kit for your model car? This was what I was planning to try.

Talked to Armen and the 629 can't be installed in the IH002 housing, as of yet. He is going to go ahead and install a 619 for me. He said the standoffs for VGA controller don't lineup and he also had a problem with the location of the inverter. I suggested he check with the manufacture of the IH002, to see if they could make the standoffs for the VGA controller movable. If the standoffs were movable then it could work for the 619 and the 629. Then he only has the inverter to figure out. Armen is a very resourceful person and I'm sure he'll make it happen.

Personally, I have done this, with some success. So far, I've blown a fuse (more on order) and shredded a ribbon cable (again, more on order). Just curious if anyone else has done this. My problem seems to be getting all of the wires (ribbon for vga, touch, inverter) to go where they are supposed to when opening and closing the screen. If anyone has ideas, that'd be cool.
