Red face image burned into lcd!!

i have a 5" partsexpress flip lcd. ok, i went into Milwaukee last night to go see Reel Big Fish. we are heading home (1.5hr drive) and i notice that an when i turned on geiss(vis plugin) i can see a faint image of winamp in the background. i turned off the lcd for a few min. and when i turned it back on, it was still there. i unplugged the lcd, everything. when i tried it this morning, it was still there. its hard for me to believe that for not using it for more than 1.5hrs at a time, and with geiss running, that it somehow got burned into the screen. im going to call partexpress tomorrow, but i am wondering what everyone else thinks, and if this has happened to anybody? thanks!

I didn't know LCD's could suffer from that. But I do know that images may in a way get burned in (or some similar effect) by long time direkt sunlight. (Character LCDs)

Just noticed, that if it's the 200-dollar model, it's now DISCONTINUED on partsexpress' site, so I doubt a replacement will be the solution...
...Just thought I'd be the first to share the $#ITTY news...
