LCD pin outs Dos vs. Win

I have a Seiko L2014 lcd that I have wired using Nathan Stuarts schematics http://www.eio.com/lcd4034.htm . I want to make the move from windows to dos. Does anyone know if this wiring diagram is compatible with mpxplay using mpxf as a front end? Thanks

On another note, did you order from EIO, any problems. I'm thinking of purchasing the exact same display - probably going to use WinAmp, but not sure yet. How's yours look? What plugin were/are you using?

DOS or Windows, doesn't make a difference. A parallel port is a parallel port is a parallel port.

What is more important is the software you use to drive the LCD. For example, I am driving my LCD using only 4 data lines (as opposed to the usual 8). I wanted to keep the number of wires between the parallel port and the display down - I only had some 8 core cable in my scrap box, and I wrote my own LCD driver (and player).

Mikep56 is right I went ahead and tried MPXF with MPXPLay 1.42 and the LCD worked like a charm. I have tried it with winamp using WinLCD and Lorty's registered plugin, again it worked flawlessly. My orginal concern was because the AMP (http://amp.mp3car.com/myo.html)lcd pin config is slightly different to the one posted at EIO and I had already blownup my first lcd weeks before.
Nos, thanks for the link I missed that! EIO took a month to get me my 2 lcds and I wasn't too thrilled with the $20.00 min. order but they got here and at least it did include the postage in the US.

MPXplay can be configured to use allmost any pin configuration in the INI file. At least that's how I remember it.
