Question Running wire from controller to lcd?

I'm wondering what the best way to run wire from a pci lcd controller to your lcd is? My computer is in my trunk and the screen will (obviously) be up in the dash.

Is ribbon cable ok or does it have to be shielded?

It wont work like that the lcd and controller have to be fairly close to each other which is why most lcds have their controller attactched to their back.

Im pretty sure it will only reach 11 inches or something, but im not sure.

Hmmm, let me refraise this.

What's the longest cabling you guys (with tft lcds) have used between your controller cards and the lcd?
