Pinouts for Sharp display.....

Hi I have the LQ6NC02 6" Sharp LCD ive built the power supply for it but now im confused as to the pinouts of it.

I have seen pinouts with 20pins and 14pins which pinouts do I use and where does pin 1 start from ?

Also whats the diff between LQ6NC01 and C02 ?

This site (eio.com) has a ton of information about that LCD. But sorry I don't know what the difference is between the LQ6NC02 and the LQ6NC01.

Hey mate,
Its good to see some more people in Sydney who are intrested in MP3Cars...
When i started there were hardly anyone in whole Australia.
Anyways, i have that same screen myself and i was planing to make a full monitor out of it, which means it would take not only NTSC signal but also normal VGA. It will also have full controls for brightness and contrast, colors and things like that... and all of them gona be digitally controlled of course.
Im at work at the moment so as soon as i get home i will send you full datasheet on these screen.
Th difference between them is the viewing angle one is 12Oclock and the other is 6oclock.
By the way where in Sydney are you?
Im around the north shore area.
Do you know anyone else with mp3car in Sydney? I personly know me and my friend and thats it.
So anybody else in Sydney let us know you here.

hello fellow aussie hehe Im in Parramatta.

hmm I have a datasheet on it it lists the pins and what they are but there are no markings on the ribbon cable comng out of the screen as to where pin1 is. im just presuming it is the first one!

also I forgot to mention is it absoultely necessary to have a backlight to see the screen?
I dont have the backlight inverter yet but i just want to test the power going to it and see if it all works so can I see a faint picture or sumfin ? (perhaps if i shine a torch through the back?)

what i will do is when i get home i will take a look at the way i connect it and will let you know.
By the way where did you get the screen from and how much did you end up paying for it.
How u plan conecting it to your video card? Keep in mind that it accepts NTSC signal. Unless you have a good brand Video card u wont be able to use it with local cheap video card as most of them only support PAL.

thanks that would be great. I bought it like 3rd hand off someone in NT for $200. dunno if i was ripped off or not. Im scared it probably doesnt work ! So I need someway of testing it.

hmm I just thought it accepts any composite in ? Ive got a RCA connector ready for input now I just dont know where to get a vid card for it. how do you use it ?

Dude that is a good price... u wont be able to find any cheaper in here nor in States.
It should work as long as they didnt connect the power wrong way or something.
Well you wont be able to see much without a back light but you can use some other source of light to view it, preferable a white fluresent light.
Be careful, b4 you turn the power on triplcheck everything.
Well im planing to buld a convertor from VGA to NTSC/PAL as well as a another circut which will allow me to conect this screen to normal VGA. but for this you might need some special Video card drivers.
But as i said i want to make a notmal monitor out of this LCD module so then i can use it anywhere...
