5.6" Active Matrix problem! help me please!

ok, i just got this screen from The Auto Accessories today....

its got a connector that connects to the back of it...coming from the connector we have..

1) a composite input for video
2) a ground wire
3) a power wire (+12v)
4) a blue wire for acc power
5) a green wire for the speaker

so i hooked up the red power wire to a connector on my psu (the yellow wire of course) then i hooked the black wire (gnd) to the ground wire on the connector.

now tell me if my thinking here is wrong...but wouldn't just touching the blue acc wire to a +12v wire on a psu power connector emulate the car's acc power??

what happens when i touch the blue wire is the lcd will turn on for about half a second and then turn right back off. i can repeat this as many times as i want which leads me to believe that nothing is wrong with the lcd itself...

anybody have this same lcd and know what my problem may be? thanks.

OK! nobody worry the problem is fixed..and i can't believe i'm going to embarass myself like this, but it sure does help when you hit the power button, eh? it looks like an LED on my unit, but apparently its a button too! anyway...now onto problem #2

now i am in the phase of trying to output video to the unit. i have a really nice shielded video cable running from my video card (ati xpert@play agp 4mb) to the unit. when i turn it on, for a split second i can see windows, but it's all messed up and slowly fades to a blank screen. any ideas? thanks.

i found this info from a previous post, maybe this could be the problem?

My card did the same thing, take it inside to my tv and NP, but take it outside to my video monitor and it doesn't work. Go to radio shack and get a 75 ohm 1/4 watt resistor and cut your composite video cable in half, strip back the wires and install the resistor. (there are 2 wires inside, a sheild (common) and another insulated wire inside the common wire (center pin), you will have to stip that one too. Then wire the resistor accross the two wires)

It sounds like your video monitor doesn't have enough internal resistance for your video card to see. I hope this diagram helps.

I dont have the answer to your question, only some advice:

Patience is a virtue. wait at least 12 hours before getting upset that people arent answering you. You havent given them time to read the board. Yes, some people read the board like 20 times a day, but I think most dont do that.

This could be the problem. Some video cards auto-detect if it´s any device connected to the ports, this applies for the VGA and TV-OUT. As said on this post, try putting a 75ohm resistor between the two wires and then connect the lcd. Also try to found out if your card is really booting in TV (most cards can only boot to TV OR VGA. My card does this.
And yes patience is a virtue, so if you wait a little longer maybe someone has the answer for you.
