There won't be any 6" LCDs that will fit in this space (smallest I've found is 7" X 5"), but you might be able to find a 5" display.
The
Phillips LTE052T-061 is a 5" TFT LCD that measures 5" W X 4" H, but the resolution is 320 X 240. It's compatible with the C&T 65550 display controller, which means it can be driven directly from most SBCs or you could pick up a controller card. Haven't been able ot find a place to buy or a price though

, but I imagine it won't be cheap. Given your size requirements, you might have to go with an NTSC display (I'm using the
4" LCD from PartsExpress and it's not that bad) and a TV-Out video card. I'm using a scan converter to convert the VGA signal to NTSC, and it does a better job than most video cards with TV-out that I have seen. Just use a big font!
Best of luck!
