Post 6" lcd display question

what is this exactly?

6" VGA LCD
$15.00
Mfr: Sanyo LMDK55-22
640 x 480

I saw it on Timeline, it seems like a good deal. what do I have to do to it to get it to work or display? As you may have noticed already I know nothing about LCDs and carputers. hehe im just learning it all right now. thanks,
dave

I have not seen this LCD but, i am sure it lacks things like a controller and psu (i could be wrong)...
if you have some technical ability, you can buy the parts and put it together yourself. if you don't think that you will be able to do so you will just be wasting $15 + shipping

I e-mailed Timeline awhile ago about this - the display is mono DSTN and I don't think it included the inverter.

i wont be getting that then thanks for the advice, knowing that this brings up another question. does anyone/anywhere sell a set up lcd display (one that comes assembled, all you need to do is plug parallel port into)..im looking for something small, like 40x2 or so..also if its "backlit" are you able to read it in the dark? thanks,
dave
