Post Question for Arby ! (inverse lcd)

Hi Arby (and others )

quick question.
Can you use the polarizer film which you pull off the lcd again ?
(I haven't been able to get something like this in shops, but really want to inverse the lcd, but got no film... want to use the old film again, only other side up... Haven't took the lcd apart yet...)

Thanks in advance..
Greetz

You CAN, but you will probably damage it when you remove it, I think... Yeah..

The film is completely glued to the glass. If you can figure a way to loosen the glue without damaging the lcd then yes.

Mine came off in pieces about 1 inch long.

BTW I did not glue the replacement on...just using a piece of lexan to hold it in place.

No, you can't use it. It gets all torn up, and has glue residue on it.

Anyway, the new piece has to go on in a different direction, that's what makes it inversed.

Hey Raas - if you can't find the film at professional photography stores, I have a few pieces left over that I can send you. Let me know.

You can also get fresh supplies from Edmunds Optics. They have an office in the UK.

Cheers
