M10000 vs SP13000, 800x480

I've search and read the two 800x480 post few times already but am still confused as to which one can truly support 800x480. It seems to me that SP13000 with latest bios should do it but I just want to confirm. Also it seems that M10000 should work with some tweaking but there's no clear indication of any success stories? So can someone confirm with one can have 800x480? Is it so much better then 800x600?

Just bought a SP13000 and it already came with 1.07 BIOS. However, I can't find 800x480 in either BIOS or in windows' "List All Mode". The other res available are 848x480, 852x480, 1024x576. Tried powerstrip but it doesn't allow custom configuration, the button is grey out.
