Question 5'' Displays connecting Problem

Hi.
I asked in some other forums but did not get an answer for this.
i have two displays :

Sharp LQ5AW
and a Philips LTE052T-060

the idea was to build a passive cooled little PC
for my car (place is enough :-) )
and connect one or two of this displays to it.

my problem is that i don't get a good signal to it.

my question is : do i have to use a special controller or something else to connect it to my pc or can i get a cheaper version to connect it directly with maybe some ressistors ?

maybe someone knows a good HowTo that could help me.

that panasonic one looks neat, I couldn't find much on the other one.

one thing that I did to get some better quality was I ran svideo out from my card, and then used a converter to convert that to RCA at the end.

you might be able to use the info on using a PSone screen with VGA output. it requires some resistors and PowerStrip (software).

so i have to buy a controller or the PS_One to use my display...
no direct way ?

the description f the Philips Display says stah i have 2 RGB inputs and V-Sync and H-Sync input...
so ... i thought that this should work...

----EDIT

only for my brain :
i do need FIRST Powerstrip to set um my refresh rate and resolution...
if i don't do this ... will i see something on my display if i connected it right ?

yeah you should, it won't be readable .. but color and such..

I use my rca in screen as secondary only anyway.

I know you're knew (at least here) but I'd push you towards a 7" lcd .. they are so clear and the thought of not using a touch system makes me curse repeatedly

well I could take one off your hands :-) ..

I would use them as secondary video screens, to my understanding they take rca in right? .. RCA can be readable .. just push the font size up in windows.. and use 640x480
linux will allow the 320x240 .. or some where in between.. maybe windows too.

I believe, on the Phillips monitor at least, that you should be able to connect pins 1,2,3 to Red, Green and Blue and pins 13 and 14 to the h sync and v sync respectively. I found the VGA (computer monitor) pinout here, http://www.bbdsoft.com/video.html. So just run a wire from the correct pin on the computer output to the same pin on the lcd circuict board and it should pop right up. If you want to get fancy, get a cheapo d-sub 15 connector(http://www.radioshack.com/product.as...%5Fid=276-1502) and tidy it all up. Just make sure that all of the wires go to the same input. Hope this helps a little.
