Display problem

I have a Dynamix 805 8’’ TFT LCD Monitor w/ VGA & Touch Screen in dash.
My car stalled and the computer and display started to have problems. Now when I apply power, the display comes on automatically and the back light is on. But. All I see is a flickering of the display with a white bloom.

Any one know what the problem is?

Thinking it might be the VR I cut it out and connected the display straight to the 12v.
Automatic turn on (not normal) and a greyish bloom on the display.
$240 worth of junk I am thinking
