Try lcdpart.com. They don't have an 8" CCFL listed but hopefully the guys there could lead you to the right direction.
I've purchased a CCFL for a 14" monitor from these guys for $20 shipped. It was promptly shipped and has been working well.
Good luck.

Yea.. I am at a loss for what to do.. It's disgusting that a stupid little thing like the cold cathode goes out and it's basically like your whole screen is junk because no one sells em.

Thanks for the help Edik. I sent him an e-mail through ebay.
I got this 6" CCFL out of the acrylic tube (the same type of CCFL you would use in a computer case.. etc..) I have it in the housing of the lilliput with that plastic light .. refactor? I guess is what you would call that thing.. Anyway it looks good so far.. I haven't actually put it all back together yet.. I still need to see if the inverter on the lilliput will drive this CCFL or not.. I had another one of these 6" CCFL's.. however it got stepped on today
I could just order more.. or maybe 2x 4" ones would work better.. Anywho, thanks for the help guys.. if anyone has ANY INFO on the Lilliputs Inverter output I would greatly appreciate it!!
