Need some help on 2014 and 4034
I have bought on eio.com the seiko 2014 and the 4034.
Wired them up and run lcdprint , they worked.
But when i use the 2014(4x20) with the plugin from Markus Zehnderit works great whit the 4034(4x40) it display nothing (on screen it looks ok).
Using a diverend plugin (mark Lynch) the 2014 doesn't work but the 4034 works great .
So i'm confused/going mad.
Where do i go wrong?
this is the sys i'm using to work things out:
P II 350 mmx 128Mb of ram 20.Gb HDD
Os win98 mobo MSI-4017(not shure about this number)
So I need some help from you outthere to fix the problem

Check your wiring. By the way when did you buy the L4034. They are sold out now. I was told that they could get me one but it has been almost a week and nothing has arived. The last one I bought got here in 2 days. They have taken my money. I had trouble with the connections to the pins when I hooked up my L4034.

Fbwr75215 If checked the wiring and double check it can't find anything wrong They bouth work with lcdprint. So the wiring must be ok.
Only 1 is working ok with Marku zehnder's plugin (20x4).
And the other only with the plugin from Lynch.
I read that Mark Raas has used a ide cable to conect the lcd.
He cut it on lenght and shaved a bit off from the bottum till you see the beginning of the conectors(pins) And then secur it with some Hotmelt .

It seems that when i only use row 1 & 2 it works ok.
But when i use 1,2&3 line 3 overwrites line 1
And when i use 1,2,3& line 4 line 3&4 are overwriting lines 1&2.
Does anybody knows where i go wrong.
I used the schematics from Nathan Stuart for the seiko LM4034 On my L4034.

Well i know what wend wrong.
So if anyone has the same problem here is the solution:
Goto configuration -> Display -> Configure -> settings -> and set the splitscreen on.
Now the display is working fine

Hey Peter,
Thanks for the info on the split screen..
(I noticed that too, that lines 4&3 where overwritign 1&2 .. didn't know what it was.. but the lcd worked with lcd-print, so I assumed it was working the way it should be...
However.. I haven't jumped into it then. 'cause I was not satisfied with the cable I had made.. (was just a test cable to see if the display worked).
Now I'm making my new cable.. Control & lcd-connections all in one cable . )

k.
guys.. I am new to wirind boards.. but I have a similar display.. the data international version.
I know nothing about wiring.. I saw on EIO website, connectors to hookup to the board.. I can't imagine how I can wire something into those little holes withou some sort of pins.. or connectors..
I see ya'll made stuff.. can you give me a little info on how you did that.. or where I could be connectors?
Also, I will be getting power for my display through my USB port.. has anyone done this before?
Thanks,
Christopher Vigil

you're right about getting this much cables in so many small holes..
When I received my display from eio there was a short note that the display would come from a batch which had a header-connector.. ( so it has pins )
the only thing I did is placing a (shaved-down from the bottom) IDE-connector onto it.. and this works..
I don't know about getting these wires in these holes..
Maybe Arby has some trick to that.. ? Arby ?
