Ordering replacement lilliput ribbon cable

Hi All,

I need a replacement lilliput cable, cause mine is not very good.. I get lots of colorful lines all over the place when I turn my monitor on. I tried wriggling the cable around on the monitor while it was on, and instead found the CCFL inverter voltage across my hand.

Only thing is that I'm in Australia, and postage is gonna be worth about 3 times what the ribbon is.. anyone in oz got a spare cable they could post over to me ASAP, I'd appreciate it muchly.

Also I've been looking at ways to attempt repair on the cable, any suggestions from people who have had to do this sort of thing before?

Cheers,

Tim.

if it is the internal 40 wire ribbon then look for a 40 way FFC cable. Farnell in the UK sell them so you should be able to get one in Oz.

negative ghost rider!

I will ask in avionics if they are ordering anything. Will give em the money and pass it over. Might get a couple myself to see if i can shave the insulation off to turn them into xenarc cables!

leave it with me for a couple of days.
