Xenarc 700IDT Loosing Brightness Settings

700IDT used to save brightness preferences after switching the
unit off. It now no longer seems to do so. Any ideas? The
default brightness (33) is insufficient and therefore needs adjusting each
time I'm in the car.

If you use an nvidia graphics card, you can use their software to permanently set the brightness levels on Windows startup (assuming you're even using Windows). Otherwise, any other brightness/contrast/gamma setting program should work so you never have to deal with modifying the default values of the monitor.

I noticed that the Xenarc 700TSV seems to keep its values for a little while. Like I can manually turn it off and back on, it's all good. I can turn the computer off for a bit, still good when I come back five minutes later. Turn it off for a couple hours (even with pc in standby mode)... lost settings. Maybe it has an internal battery that's dead? I haven't cracked mine open.

I'm having the same problem. My xenarc often loses its display values and I have to manually turn up the brightness and re-center the screen when I turn the car on.

Yeah, it seems like my screen used to save the values, but does not anymore. Is there a way to change the defaults on the monitor itself?

I found the solution in another thread. The way to get the monitor to keep your settings is to turn it off via the remote once you have it set the way you want, then turn it back on.
