Wiring The IR to The Main Board (Lilli)

Well I'm wiring my IR receiver to the control board on my lilliput because in the sunvisor I'm installing it in there is no room for the button assembly.... I've been looking all over for the pins that the three wires on the IR goto, so far i've found that pins 8, 9, 10 are the pins for the IR, but those didnt work... it seems like hooking the IR to pins 7, 9, 10 will let the IR work, is that normal for some lilliputs? or is it some weird coincidence that touching that pin would work?
