In-Dash LCD Open/Close

I was thinking about buying a motorized in-dash LCD and was wondering if the USB software for these things allows you to open/close them without having to touch the button or be near the screen? The LCD isn't for a car; it's for some other application where I'd like to be able to open or close the LCD using just the keyboard.

on second thought it may be posible, but not to practical really..... you could use a relay controller or an app like girder to control power to the ign circuit through the pc..... a little complicated but the way to do what you want maybe???

Do the ones that come with a remote allow you to open/close using the remote?

that I don't know for sure, but I would guess the remote is just for the lcd, I doubt they redesigned a remote to add this control, I would guess no, but maybe??
