Unhappy LinITX 7" resolution issues

Hi all, long time no speak.

Well I finally got my LinITX 7" monitor through yesterday and on the whole am impressed. However I am having a slight issue. I appologise if this has come up before but I have searched to forums and can't find it so here goes...

I am using a Shuttle motherboard with onboard VGA controller. Having played with it a bit it is now claiming to be outputting an 800x480 signal which is the quoted native of the screen. Unfortunately (as you can see from the attached photo) the screen seems to think it is getting an 848x480 signal and this is leading to a poor image quality.

Any one come accross this before and have any idea how to fix it?

Change the refresh rate under advanced then monitor I think it is - should then display correctly.

OK, some time ago (aout 7 years!) I used to have a bit of software that enabled you to set very odd screen resolutions. I used to use it to set odd resolutions for the MAME emulator if any one cares. Does any one know of some XP software that can do this and I will see what happens if I set it to 848x480 instead of 800x480.
