Red face Avic N2 as monitor source for carputer?

Wow…first time on this site and I feel like I am 7 years old again on Christmas Eve! I did a few searches but could not find anything posted regarding using an Avic N2 as the AV monitor source for a carputer system. We are very happy with the Avic N2 but would like to add these features to the car;

Bluetooth phone features – (using Motorola E815)
MP3 or Ipod playback
Actual Windows XP OS for customer database
Wireless connection for file transfer

We had tried the Pioneer CD-IB100 Ipod adapter made for the Avic N2 but it was ABSOLUTELY horrible. Basically the unit will display 8 characters (including spaces) on a 6.5” screen…That’s it! Anyway… we have been searching for an alternative since and stumbled across this web page and my jaw dropped.

So…is it possible? Avic N2 as the monitor source for an actual car computer? Any opinions are extremely welcome…will be installing the system into a Pontiac Vibe 2003.

Thanks

1 - You resurrected a thread that lie dormant for nearly two years.
2 - Don't waste your time. It's been tried. The AVIC is all proprietary and doesn't boot off the HDD, so loading any OS on it is pointless.

well, i think you could convert the vga to rca and use it as an video output but there won't be touch screen features. it would be neat if the Avic N3/Z2 are hackable.
