And I used it...found two or three people. Interested in how you use the monitor without the buttons and how the monitor lasts...warranty etc.

if you found two or three people would it not make sense to either maybe post a message on that thread or pm the person with a question? or you could be a n00b and just ask away without searching.
(I damn well know I am a newbie and havent posted much but at lease Im not a n00b and super annoying)

I guess you make that 5 and I make 6. Some people don't even think to search which is quite obvious in many cases. Those that don't know how to search are informed as such and those that are too lazy to search are told to. It is better to continue posts pertaining to a particular topic than creating a whole new thread for it. Makes searching that much easier for the next person. 20 threads on the same topic are a lot harder (read: less people will do it) to wade through than 2 threads with all the information.

Well maybe most threads get full of crap from being posted with bs replies like the last few.
Just to add useful information here, I bought one for my 2005 Mustang V6. With the Metra dashkit, the WRX kit will fit in my car no problem. I would think that if you have a double-din dash, that you should be able to get this installed with minimal additional modifications.

hmm i plan on installing one in a Subaru Baja when i get one soon... it says it will fit but im wondering how the angle of the screen is? I mean i guess it depends on the car and such, but for the people who have installed it, is it still bright and legible when pointing just strait out (as opposed to pointing/facing up at you)?
Also, is it worth the price? I mean it IS almost twice as much as the Lilliput 7", and it cant face you like the in dash screens like the Xenarc 700IDT....
Probably a complete noob question, but what the hell right?

I second the perfect fit in a 2006 Mustang.

I have one that I am putting in my Escape this weekend. It's not a perfect drop-in for me, but it is far better than starting from scratch (to me any way).

I have yet to get one, but the dashes in te subaru's are angled just slightley up, so I think the viewing angle should be quite good

Hopefully this is helpful. I bought one and installed it in my 2006 WRX, found that it was too dull in the sunlight and too bright in the dark. The software adjustments didn't help very much. It would be better to be able to adjust the angle and the brightness of the unit. I also had to modify the dash to fit the screen although I'm not sure that's really nessacary for all models and I found that the touchscreen worked really well, all the time regardless of what state the computer was in (i.e. reboot, hibernate, etc.) There were times in the winter when there was no video on the screen, just a cloudy white fog. A reboot and some warmup time would fix that.

If you go over to www.nasioc.com and search for 'carputer' there's a few people over there running with that kit. You might be able to get some feedback on it from there.
