xenarc touchscreen backwards movement

Touchscreen had been working great.
Did a major overhaul of software and wiring in car and now everything is back to life as normal except for the touchscreen.
When I touch the screen the pointer shows up about 1 inch away.
When I move the touch up and down the point goes side to side.

Tried re-installing the software and it says it can't find any controller.

How can it partially work if it can't find the controller?

I have the same problem with my touchscreen on the k301 flip out motorized screen. I tried re-installing the driver and it did not work. I seriously tried getting it to work for over 10 hours. A full waste of day, I was super disapointed cause it was the first time the unit was out of the box even.

sounds like mine. the x and y axis are switched. up and down moves the pointer left and right. left and right moves it up and down

Yes, but if the TS config software can't find the controller, you can't recalibrate...

I've had that problem more times than I can remember. It's usually solved by restarting. Then I'm able to recalibrate. Must be some sort of a driver issue...

When Did you get it? Had the same thing happen. The Drivers that come with the screen do not work!!! Had to down load them from web page. Than all was great!!

Remove the old,
download the new...

try the egalax touchscreen drivers, also check that the drivers have installed properly in Device Manager ... sometimes they don't always install correctly and leave some of the drivers uninstalled. Manually installing through device manager will fix this.

Come on man - being from Illinois I woulda thought you'd be smarter than that! How do you calibrate if the software can't find the TS?

Solution:
I actually had the same exact problem with my Xenarc last week. I tried pretty much everything. I used the same exact drivers as I had used when it worked - and I had the same problem you described. After getting frustrated to all hell, I actually did a

I went to Xenarc's website and found out they had a new version of the drivers. Newer than the version I had been using. I downloaded those drivers, installed and it worked great.

The new drivers are only like 2 months old:

SnyperBob you are correct.
The drivers that come with the screen and windows drivers do not work.
Installing drivers from Xenarc web site fixes everything.
I have chucked the xenarc install disk into the garbage
never to be put in the computer again.
